Dear Sirs.

Good day.

Please kindly refer to below my questions.

1. Now i have a Qualified WPS but it's designated only type(E8016-C1) and Manufacturer(Kobelco).
2. But as missed order from company that arrived diff manufacturer(Chosun) welding rods(but same AWS classification : E8016-C1)

So do i have to PQR again? Is it essential variable? or Non-essential variable situation?
Please kindly guide us for this matters.

Thanks in adv.

koodaehan,
If you are talking ASME IX then no problem at all with what you propose,
Regards,
DD

As DekDee said, for Section IX it is not a problem. If you are working to some of the EN welding specifications you may want to look very carefully at them since they often require a new PQR with change of manufacturer. They do make exceptions for solid rod but I don't recall the exceptions carrying over to the SMAW process.

Note that ASME does not discriminate as per Mfr or
Country of origin

It depends; if the WPS specifies a specific manufacturer or a specific trade name, the WPS must be revised as a minimum.

Best regards - Al
