Hello all,

I am working on Planetry gear Box for the customer proposal, and I am looking for some information on force
distribution between Sun Gear ,Three planetry gear & Ring Gear for
Planetry configuration(IP: sun,OP:Carrier,Ring Gear:fixed) that is difficult to find.
As i analyse, torque from Sun distributes to three planetry gears.

Let Fs,Fp,Fr,Fc are the forces at sun, planetry, Ring gear & carrier respectively.

The force on One planetrty (Fp) = Fs/3
The force on Carrier(Fc) = 2Fp
The force on Ring(Fr)(Fixed) = Fp

I would like to know is above analysation is on right way & i would like to know any appropriate method of force analysis in differnt configuration like Planetry,Star & solar.

thanks in befor

John

Think in terms of force and not torque
and I think you will understand how
this applies to the individual components.
