Hello everyone,

I am working on wave induced fatigue on a pipe under Caesar II. My loadcases are :

1 (OPE) W+D1+D2+T1+P1+WIN1+WAV1
2 (OPE) W+D1+D2+T1+P1
3 (FAT) L3=L1-L2

I woulk like to know how I can generate on output the force/moment variation on my nodes/elements? I am not sure that general element forces extended are the correct answer.

Please could you give me the procedure to follow to compute the force/moment variation?

thank you,
M.

Hi Manilac,
You do not have enough load case combinations to cover fatigue. Also yopu mention Wave loads as the only fatigue loading- what about the wind? Also remember waves can come from any points of the compass and at any height.

Hello DB123,

Each wave orientation and wave height are taken into account (you change your input data each time) for the three loadcases.

Could please write to me where I could find the output describing the force/moment variation.

Thank you,

M.
