Hello.

Is there a way to force an update to all the dimensions in a part controlled by a DT? I added some columns to control additional dimensions and they wouldn't update unless I changed the value to something else and exit the DT.

Thanks,

Kevin

Not to my knowledge... you will have to enter the DT and close it before the dimensions update... Been like this for years.

The DT can be updated from the model upon opening and the model is updated from the DT upon closing.

Thanks for the comments. Somehow the dimension that I was having trouble with had Driven checked. It wouldn't allow me to save it in a non-driven state, so I deleted the dimension, reinserted and now it updates ok.

Thanks,

Kevin

You can fix that easier, by RMB (Right mouse Button) clicking on the dimension and under the properties of the Dimension deselecting "Driven"

That's what I tried to do. I would uncheck it, select Apply, see that it stayed unchecked, Select OK, go back into the DT, exit the DT, and see no change in the dimension. Going back to properties, the dimension keeps setting itself back to Driven.

Were you in Edit Sketch mode when changing the dimension from Driven?
Did you do a save before opening the DT?

[cheers]

I tried it by editing the sketch, changing the property, saving the sketch, and opening the DT. I also tried just expanding the feature to show the sketch in the FM, doubleclicked on the sketch to show the dims, changed the property, hit Rebuild, and open the DT. Neither way allowed the Driven state to remain unchecked. I've been waiting patiently to be upgraded to SW2007 and move to a Subscription Service. I'm currently on SW2006 0.0. Maybe that could have something to do with it.
