Hi All,
I'm quite familiar with calculating forging ratios, but how is this performed for wn flanges (i.e. items with effectively 2 cross-sectional areas?)
I'm forging a 320mm diameter x 380mm height bar into a flange of body diameter 500mm x 114mm height and neck diameter 265mm x 136mm height.
Would it simply be the original height divisable by the final height? 380/(114+136) = 1.52:1?
Thanks in advance.
