Formula for calculating liquid volume 4

Hi Guys...I am new member to this group. I would like to find out the total liquid volume of water in my CHWS based on the cooling capacity of the chiller and cfm of the pumps. If there is any more parameters that I need to gather to come up with the volume please let me know. Thanks for all the help!

Find the diameter of the pipe and go to tables here to find piping characteristics:

When yo know the pipe length, you know the volume. There are 62.4 lbs/cu ft of water. Now you know the pipe volume.

The chiller manufacturer can tell you how much water the chiller barrel holds.

Pumps are rated in GPM, not CFM.

So just to follow up,

1) Cooling capacity and flow of pumps have nothing to do with volume of water in the system.

2) In addition to the lengths and diameter's of pipe you also need to know the volumes of water in all of your coils and chiller.

3) Expansion tank sizing is fun (or is this barrels of glycol required?)

BTW there are 7.48 gallons per ft**3 so now you can get the water weight from the gallon thingy.........
