Hi all,

I am trying to model the influence of the elasticity of soil in the base of my foundation.
for a simple example just a cube with a vertical load over it, in the center of it. Model is made with 3d element/standard/static

For that purpose instead of aplying a BC of non vertical displacement in the base of the cube (which would lead to no deformation in the base)
I try to model the elasticity of the soil, by means of "elastic foundation" interaction, so what I do is:

BC's in horizontal movements in a Reference point where I do aply the force.
No BC's in vertical direction but the force.
Elastic foundation interaction property in the base of the cube.

What I do obtain is an error of convergence.

am I doing it right?
does somebody suggest a simpler/better/correct way?

thanks a lot
