Hello!! :)

Doubt regarding the results of a simulation using the Finite Element Method in Ansys. I will try to detail
everything I've done.

OBJECTIVE: To compare the results obtained by the experimental technique (photoelasticity, using the Superdeterministic Method - Dally and Riley): determination of KI (stress intensity coefficient at the tip of a crack in a thin plate, with crack in mode 1).

Results obtained by finite element simulation on Ansys
Software, Workbench, Release 19.0:

Main question: In the Ansys simulation, the KI only converged to a satisfactory result (very close to the KI calculated by the photoelasticity) when the analysis is done only at the beginning of the crack (and not along the crack length). Can anyone tell me why this happens?
In the software option to put the points to be analyzed, it passes from 1 to 6 (1 at the crack end and 6 at the base of the plate, but also in the trench along its length). When selected to simulate 1 to 6, or 1 to 5, etc ... the KI results are quite different from those obtained in the experimental technique (photoelasticity). I do not know if it makes a mean of the "KI's" obtained in each point and there it returns the greater or lesser value or it is done by another method. When I put it to simulate only 1 to 1 (ie, only at the crack tip), the result converges to the value obtained experimentally.
I performed the simulation on ANSYS based on the concept of the State Plan of Tensions.

So can anyone help me understand why KI only converges to a satisfactory result when the analysis is done only at the beginning of the crack (and not at all in the crack size)?

Thanks!!
