Experts,

we are experiencing a strange phenomenon on the frame 5 turbine.
the unit trips on combustion high temperature but only during high noon times
early mornings and after noon the unit runs up normally and the temperature remains within the tolerance
the highest environmental temperature is 38 degrees C
i appreciate your thoughts on this

Whatever the reason for this trip may be, it may be a genuine GT exhaust temp TZHH trip ? When was this trip sensor last calibrated ?
Is there a control feedback from the GT exhaust temp to limit the fuel gas feed to the GT, and if so, is this working okay?
Also check if there is excessive fouling on the air compressor side of the GT - air filters all in order, or is this some dusty location ?

Hello George,

thank you so much for the reply, i will double check and get back to you.
the environment is not dusty at all.

thanks a lot

Got a strange solar gain somewhere?

What are the temperatures? - Normal, alarm, trip?

Higher inlet air temperature will lead to higher temperatures / more fuel.
