Can anyone help me with the code description of framesizes of eletromotors. Ex. what is a 112M framesize eletromotor?

A 112M motor can be one of the following common sizes:

2 pole (2900 RPM), 4 kW
4 pole (1450 RPM), 4 kW
6 pole (960 RPM), 2.2kW

Of course, as you go up in poles (decrease in syn. RPM), the nameplate power drops so if the motor is slower than a 6 pole then the power will probably also be lower. However, slow speed motors of that small horsepower are very rare so I doubt that's the case here.

A 112M IEC (metric) motor will measure 112mm from floor to centerline of shaft. The 'M' will probably indicate a bolt-hole pattern of approximately 1.30 times the 112 dimension. Other frame sizes are similar. An 'S' bolt-hole pattern will be just over 1 times shaft centerline height (frame size) and an 'L'motor will normally have a bolt-hole pattern over 1.5 times shaft height. These are general rules that I use when I don't have a book handy.

Hope this is a help.
