Hi all,

I Have a persistent problem in my plant.

One of the condenser water pump always trips. the other 3 pumps are fine.

the Building Automation System by Honeywell shows us a high condenser water temperature. however the cooling tower is running, the temperature of water is 29 degree celsius.

the Temperature sensor has been replaced.

Please advise what else I could do.

Thanks so much.

Ben

Have you done a calibration check on whatever the sensor is connected to - BMS, PLC, DCS, VSD, and so on. Do I get an award for the most three-letter acronyms in one sentence? [tongue]

You could actually provide us with something to look at, a diagram, a P & ID, some flow data, some info about when it happens, things you've already looked at.

At the moment this is like saying " my car doesn't start, anyone know why?"

W only see what you give us. Look at your post and ask yourself could you answer it based on the info you've provided??

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

LittleInch 👍-- NO.

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)

I'm going to ask a silly question is CW temperature a pump trip?

As suggested, a P&ID or at least a sketch of the system would help. You say a condenser is showing a high cooling water temperature is high/ What is "high"? What is the actual cooling water temperature, what should it be per design?

ScottyUK - Only if you replace three-letter-acronym with TLA!

ScottyUK - Congratulations, that post plus being Old qualifies you for the First Acronym Reduction Team.
