Hi im trying to simulate in an axysimmetric model 2 discs sliding and heating due to friction. I cant find a way to introduce de heat proportional to the contact pressure. Thanks!

Hi Julia

Perhaps using a contact between the bodies. Contacts include heat transfer properties.

See this link for more details:

Also in the ansys help, chapter called modelling thermal contact (it says that TCC, thermal conductivity can be a fucntion of pressure, and GAP, amongst others).

Thanks Erik, but I think that this link explains how to change a contact properties (thermal conductivity)as fuction of pressure, but i want to introduce a heat flux load in the interface. Is that possible?
