Hi,

I have large solid model with 7 multiple surface contact points - friction 0,1. Model was calculated with static structural analysis. LGDISP are on.

Now I would like to double check the results with nonliniar static. I can choose between 106 and advanced 601. What I need to change in my model to be able to calculate?

What I know is:
-use nonlinear contact (Frictional Constraint 0,1) property
-define time steps (10 and 0,1 increment)

In Load Step convergence graph Contact is below Energy which I assume is good to proceed. Why my simulation may stop? It is only related to settings since my model is good, since it was possible to calculate static - rgiht?

I have only 1 err: SOL601 did not finish successfully.

See picture for convergence.

Any hint will be greatly appreciated.

Rgds, W.

Hi,

For Sol601, you need to change your load definition to time dependent. Define a time field for the load. The first point is always 0,0. The last point is (your time step defined, your final load).

Kind regards,
