I have a question about API 600 Standard. I have to issue a Data sheet for Gate Valves 2"-6" (API 600 Standard). If I want a Full port valve, I need to specify this characteristic or all API 600 Gate Valves are Full Port.

Specify it.

Thanks for your help. The application of this valve is on PSV outlet, is correct to use a Gate valve in this situation or is better to use a Ball Valve Full Bore. I think that ball valve is easier to support and to maneuver for the operator.

Is it not criminal in a way?

It is NOT recommended to put a valve in any relief line. It is ONLY permitted to put a valve in a relief line when that valve can be LOCKED OPEN and is locked open whenever it is protecting an operating line.

In this case a gate valve might be better, since it takes more turns to close than a ball valve. The harder it is to close, the more chance nobody will close it.
