I am going to be installing a transmission in a vehicle for which it was not factory optional
and I need to know about half shaft design .I am hoping to use other half shaft pieces to crate what i need
its a GM 4t60 (91' lumina) non electronic overdrive in place of the 3t40 3 speed going into a 1993 cavalier z24 v6
I see that at level (on the car) there is still some back space for movement in the shaft but how much do i need?
and how do i create a center point at the trans (relative to shaft and mounting position) to figure out what shaft lengths i need . it looks like the trans is an inch longer on the long side (passenger). other issues such as torque converter lockup and mounts should be ok thanks
