I am presently experiencing high BER on my TVRO dish for 2 vertically polarized C band signals.Nimiq 1 & 3 Kuband satellites are in the same orbit. The feedhorn I use is for both polarities of C & Ku band. The Nimiq satellites are circularly polarized. Is it possible that my vertical C band port is picking the Ku band signal up saturating my LNB?

In North America, terrestrial C-band links are adjacient channel to satellite down links.

Terrestrial Interferenced (TI) can cause a high bit error rate.

Just because TI hasn't existed at your location in the past doesn't mean that the Common Carrier Company (Used to be AT&T in the US) hasn't brought a transmitter on line which hasn't been in use recently.

Good Luck!
