Galling of Stainless Steel use of Milk of Magnesia

I have seen a few references to Milk of magnesia, magnesium hydroxide, being used as an antigalling / antisieze for stainless on stainless threads.

Does anyone have any further information on this or know where I can find a commercial formulation of milk of magnesia for this purpose?

What's special about your threads that any of the hundreds of other commercial anti-galling compounds on the market won't serve your needs?

The nature of the process and chemicals involved will not allow any organics to be used. Mg(OH)2 would not cause a contamination problem and that is why I am interested in it but I can seem to source a comercial formulation designed for this use.

Just because it can work doesn't mean anyone is going to sell it commercially, labeled for that one specific purpose.

There may be other formulations that work better, and are labeled for the application you contemplate.
