Gap after dimension behavior increases for higher precision? 1

Hello,

I am trying to reduce the gap between text placed after the dimension and the text itself. If you look at the attached image, the gap between the leading parenthesis and the dimension is constant, no matter what the precision of the dimension.

BUT, the gap between the trailing parenthesis and the dimension increases when I increase the precision of the dimension. How do I make this constant or at least shorten it up?

I've found some settings in the standards that affect it, but nothing makes it consistent or closer than it is now. I am using a modified ANSI standard and have admin rights.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, SolidKat. I think I have narrowed it down:

This is weird but it seems to be font type specific. I only get this behavior when I use one of the true-type fonts. Could you please confirm this for me?

Do you know the difference between the truetype and non-true-type fonts? If I can only pick from the non true-type fonts, that is pretty limited.

Thanks

And, I'm not trying to be really picky, I like the CATIA Symbols font. I'd use that, but some of the ALT codes (like alt 0216 for diameter symbol) don't work, they just give me an underscore.

After a bit of testing I can confirm that it only happens when using true type fonts.

I did look up the difference between true type and type 1 but still was none the wiser after I read it so the answer to that is 'NO'

OK. Thanks for looking into it for me.

I guess I will just stick with the non true-type fonts for now.
