Hi,
We are working on a Senior Mini Design Project, creating a vinyl chloride plant. We were unsure what to assume about our incoming reactants. We need roughly 75 kmol/hr of Ethylene, 40 kmol/hr of chlorine, and 20 kmol/hr of oxygen. I have done some basic calculations, and it seems that bringing these into the plant in some sort of gas container would be impossible, so I was wondering, would we assume that they could be piped in from somewhere, or would we have to buy them liquefied. Is it reasonable to assume they could be piped in?
Thanks for the help,
Jeremy
