I am studying the solubility of different gases in alcohols , I have gather some data from bibliography and I have verified that with some gases like H2 its solubility in alcohols increase with increasing temperature, while the solubility of gases generally decreases with increasing temperature. Could anyone give a chemical reason for these behaviour?.
Thanks in advance to everybody

I would recommend studying "Molecular Thermodynamics of Fluid Phase Equilibria" by Prausnitz, Lichtenthaler and Azevedo (Prentice-Hall, 1999). The relevant Section is 10.4, starting at Page 596.

Prausnitz et al also have an excellent discussion regarding estimation of gas solubility in various solvents.
