GAs Tap Piping and Piping Spec

Can you steer me to the proper standard or specification that defines what metallurgy to use for gas taps. I am referring to supplying gas to royalty owners (domestic users).

I've reviewed ASME B31.8 section 849 (Gas Service Lines) and find some words that would indicate the metallurgy approved for this service. Is this the right standard??

Any guidance would be appreciated.

B31.8 sounds applicable although your interpretation of the meaning of Royalty Owner differs from the definition that I might use. Instead of a home owner buying gas via the meter outside the house, I think that the Royalty Owner term applies to custody transfer from the owner of the oil or gas property to the production company that buys the oil and gas. Review the API Manual of Petroleum Measurement Standards (MPMS) that apply to custody transfer or the specification for lease automatic custody transfer equipment if interested.

Standards also exist for plastic linings to upgrade old pipelines.
