Hi,

I'm searching for a gasket for an application in ultrapure water with hydrogen in one case, and with oxygen in another.
I'm not worry about the mechanical resistance of the gasket, but about the chemical.
Our customer does not want the fluid to be contaminated in any way by the gasket (design temperature is 80°C and pressure 35 barg).

Someone could help me? Thanks in advance

P.S.: we need a gasket for a diameter about 900 mm

There are special gasket compositions out there that are used for high purity applications, such as Water-for-injection in Pharms plants.
The ones that I have seen are filled fluoropolymer.
Your temp and pressure may pose some issues.
What is your piping system made from?
A higher alloy spiral wound gasket my do the job fine.

Crazy idea, I know, but maybe contact a gasket manufacturer?

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand
