Gasket width as per ASME Section VIII Div 1 Appendix 2 (TABLE 2-4) & Composite Gaskets

Hello All,

ASME Section VIII Div 1, Appendix 2, TABLE 2-4 RECOMMENDS MINIMUM GASKET CONTACT
WIDTHS FOR SHEET AND COMPOSITE GASKETS.

Can anyone explain what are composite Gaskets. Is spiral wound gaskets considered as a composite gasket?

Also for heat exchangers over and above the minimum width as per TEMA should we also consider the minimum width as per this table?
