My apologies if this question is off base or too specific. I've been searching for some time for info on making a conversion as this and information seems to be almost secretive.
I have a 1987 GMC 4x4 truck, no computer controls, building a SB 350 for it and would like to set it up for propane.
The build has not started yet (finishing up the post teardown cleanup) so parts that would need to be altered shouldnt be a problem.
I have some info from the likes of Technocarb (expensive) and Impco (they have parts, but don't want to give info for use on passenger vehicles, only generators or the like.)
All I am trying to find out is: if I can't afford to get a 'kit' all at once ... what will I need to do/get to make this conversion? (Is there some secret society that I need to join in order to get this secretive info, grin)
I am more than slightly mechanically inclined and aware of restrictions, etc. I am just not familiar with the process or parts involved.
Help! And MUCH thanks in advance!!
