Gate valve - Body with socket weld tap at location D 1

I have receieved the below specs from my client. I do not understand what do they mean by BODY TO HAVE SOCKET WELD TAP AT LOCATION D. Can any one explain what is the above mean.

SPECIFICATIONS:
VALVE, GATE, ANSI CLASS 150, FLANGED RAISED FACE,
BOLTED BONNET, OUTSIDE SCREW & YOKE,
RENEWABLE SEAT RING, BODY & BONNET: CARBON STEEL,
CASTING, A-216 WCB
END TO END DIMENSIONS TO ANSI B-16.10.
PACKING: JOHNCRANE 287-I OR EQUIVALENT.
TRIM: API NO. 8, WEDGE: ONE-PIECE (SOLID)
SIZE
IN INCHES STANDARDS BONNET BOLTS/NUTS
10 API-600 SA 193 B7/SA 194 GR.2H.

Ask end user to get a copy of the (valid) specification (drawing/ description) he is referring to.

It is a general problem that end users or purchasers give 'abbreviated' or not full specification. Well-known and long experienced suppliers will read and understand, but the hard fact is that the text is missing 'something'.

A formulation (for instance) as below should do the trick:

Our QA system requires that full technical description is in our hands before we can offer. In your description we do not find any reference to relevant documentation (or detailed description etc) for xxxxx.

Please advice soonest.

 
See ASME B16.34-2009 Figure 1 (a) on page 14.

You will need to clarify what size socket is required, or select a size based on the NPS 10 valve size, and tell your customer what you are supplying.
