I have tried searching Eng-Tips, and the GE website, but I haven't been able to find information for a GE AK-2-50 circuit breaker. Specifically, I am looking for the interrupting ratings of the breaker.

GE support thus far has not been of any use - they seem as lost as me.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

The GE AK-2-50's interrupting rating depends on your system voltage and if they are equipped with direct-acting instantaneous overcurrent trip devices. Here's the breakdown.

System Voltage|Interrupting Rating w/ Instantaneous Trips
600 VAC |42,000A
480 VAC |50,000A
240 VAC |65,000A

On a system without instantaneous trips, the numbers remain the same except when the system voltage is at 240VAC. If your system voltage is at 240VAC and your breakers dont have instantaneous trips, the IC is 50,000A
