This seems a bit strange and maybe its more a gear question than toolbox but I am checking if anyone has any insight into this before I look stupid by putting a fault line into Solidworks.
I have been looking at a DIN helical gear MOD 2 40 teeth
PCD of the model is about 113.5 which is for crossed shafts ie Shafts at 90 degrees Parallel shafts should be PCD of 84
When I look at a ANSI Imperial DP10 21 teeth it comes out at 2.205 PCD which is parallel shaft and i cannot get crossed shaft which should be 2.970 inches.
I cannot see any button to cahnge from cross to parallel shaft model so wonder if I am missing something or SW have got thier models mixed
Cheers for any viewpoints
