How do you create a joint for an entire gear system.
I can easily create a gear joint between to parts; but how do I connect multiple gear joints together to define a complete gear mecanism?

do you want to create a 'black box' mechanism with only an input and and output?

or do you want to see all the gears within the mechanism move?

are you using CATIA V4 or V5?

I need all the gears to move because each of them drives
another component.

In V4, you need to make a single model containing a set for each gear/part. Each set must contain at least a line representing the gear axis. Then use KINEMAT to create the kinematic set with gear joints between each part set. If the gears are individual models, you need to create a session and use KINEMAT+DRESSUP to link each gear model to the appropriate set in the kinematic model. Use KINEMUSE to animate the gear system and do your analysis.

In V5, you need to make a CATProduct containing CATParts of each gear. Then use DMU Kinematics to define the joints and perform the kinematic analysis.
