You don't by chance have a copy of that gear model that you can post elsewhere, do you? I can download the model but get an error when trying to open it in SWX 2006 and 2007.
 
Ditto CBL's comment. I used Gear Trax and loved it! It's got all the standard types of gearing & splines and meets all the industry standards. It even allows you to modify the values for your desired designs. It's pretty inexpensive too!

Did you try Toolbox? It's at right of the Solidworks screen.
If it's not visible, you can add it by following Tools-->Add-Ins from the menu.
Once Toolbox placed at right, you can simply create parts by right clicking and selecting "create part" option.
