Hi Gents,

The problem I would like to adress to you all, is to ask you for advise in creation of Excel spreadsheet which will be used to perform code check on beam elements. Values of internal forces will be extracted from general FEA software and imported via csv file to the mentioned Excel.

In my case software package is Autodesk Simulation Mechanical 2015, and code check lets say eurocode.

What would you advise basing your practice?

Hi,

Are you just looking at each set (.csv file) in isolation or not?

If not, how are the set related? Date, test set, other?

I'd IMPORT the data using Data > Import external data > From text file... You can set this IMPORT up ONE TIME to assign the appropriate data types for each column. Then if you want to accumulate the data, it can be copied to the table you use for that purpose, perhaps adding one or more columns to distinguish each set uniquely.

Skip,
