General Section - Are designed in SAP2000

I think this forum isn't popular but in any case:

Can SAP2000 design "General Sections". General Sections are in which one defines his properties directly.

By "design" I assume you mean "performing strength checks per a design standard."

If so, then no. SAP2000 will need to know lots of details about the section. For one of dozens of examples: if the member is steel, then does the section have any slender compression elements?
