General ventilation for light industrial

I did a search . the question has been asked but not really answered.

Are there any standards for ventilation of light industrial spaces.
E.G.
High bay large space for assembly with no fumes, gases, nor particulates produced.
Relatively small room used for general shop work.

at minimum do what is closest in ASHRAE etc., like for warehouse.
Consult OSHA if they do any work requiring exhaust. Ask the client for industry guidelines for whatever they do.

light industrial, what? spraying paint, oil, storing what?

If you can get access to a copy of the Industrial Ventilation: A Manual of Recommended Practice, 25th Edition written by the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists it might be helpful. I have had clients require ventilation rates from this manual as opposed to ASHRAE. I would share what it says but my copy is very old and I would hate to provide bad information.

I would second krikstrebor's comment, get the Industrial Ventilation guideline. It will always be useful.

I have a (old edition) of Industrial Ventilation. it is geared to local exhaust and dilution ventilation. Looking at the table of contents of a new edition, it doesn't look like they added anything.

I consider the Industrial Ventilation a great guide. But I also consider it like a physics book, new editions come out, and with fancier pictures and maybe newer equipment, but the information does not change much.

From your explanation, there is no gases, fumes are particulate exhaust, so I think ASHRAE would be more of your guide vs Industrial Ventilatiion for this specific example.

ASHRAE 62.1-2013 states that the closest listed category should be used, if needed. Natural ventilation is allowable. Perhaps the area could be considered "occupiable storage room for dry materials, 5 CFM/PN + 0.06*SF. Warehouse would be twice the amount.
