Hi All,
I've just exported a large IGES assy from NX7.5, (bolted onto Teamcenter), to send for crash analysis. All of the panels within the assy are single skin CAD models originally created as Native NX7.5 format, and all components within the assy have different material specifications and thicknesses.

I need to send a report along with the IGES CAD listing the attributes for each component, (namely, the part thickness and the material specification), is there a simple way that this can be acheived, or is it something that i'm going to have to trawl through and manually extract material attributes from the properties window of each individual component within the assy.

It's a head scratcher, and i'd appreciate if anyone could shed some light for me.

Thanks.

If you have the material and thickness set up as part attributes in your original NX assembly, you can add them as columns to your assembly navigator (right click in the left margin, choose Columns -> Configure) then simply export the navigator to a spreadsheet or HTML file.

Thanks,

To clarify for further viewers

1. Right click in the assembly navigator

2. Columns->Configure

3. Add the attribute name to the list
(type in "PART_THICKNESS" or whatever the attribute you're interested in is called.

4. OK

5. Right click->Export to Spreadsheet/browser

Bingo.

Thanks for your help.
