Generator Capability Curves

Hi Everyone,
At my company, we have some very old (1905 vintage) hydro generators. These are <1 MW units, 480V, 0.8pf units. They appear to be delta wound.
My question: there are no generator capability curves to be found. How are these curves created and is there a way to do it with the units in place?

Yes, it is possible to find the generator capability curve under operation by test.

It is matter fat NERC, NEPOOL, MAAC, NPCC, PJM and others power pool organizations are requiring testing of large units typically above 10 MVA.
