I have a 11.5kw generator from the USA. Voltage 120/240 -60Hz.
(3 wire)
Our utility company supplies a 2 wire 240v single phase -60hz. One line is established neutral (0v) the other live (240v)

All my equipment is 240v single phase.

I also have a automatic transfer switch.

Should i connect generator neutral to mains neutral. Or should I wire for two seperately derived systems.

Appreciate a response

If the generator can be rewired such that the 120/240 center point neutral is isolated (from the frame or other ground), you can connect one of the outside legs to the mains neutral.

alehman is right.

You do not need to rewire the generator.

But I have a question where do you have 240V, 60Hz L-N system?

A generator rated 120/240 will commonly have the center point of the winding (neutral) connected to the frame. You just need to be sure that's not the case with your generator. If it is, you must disconnect it. That's all I meant by 'rewiring'.

In St. Kitts, West Indies our supply is 400Y/230v - 60hz.

Understand you clearly alehman. I will get reply from company tomorrow and inform accordingly. Thanks again
