Not so much technical as business...

I have been buying alternator ends (used in gensets here) in China.. For the most part all works well and it's a sound (and CSA Listed) product..
There are sometimes "issues" and the way the World is turning, I think it may be in my best interest to consider production manufacturing in Mexico..

My questions:

Is there a region in Mexico that's given to alternator end (8kW - 500kW) manufacturing?
Does anyone know 1st hand or can recommend a manufacturer in Mexico?

I have contacted Potencia in Mexico to build quanities for me but the pricing is more American than not..which would put me out of business.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Every company I know that has a factory in Mexico is moving out, even back to the states. Labor unrest and crime is a serious problem in the border areas. Spontaneous strikes occur where the workers take over the factory.
