Generator is not starting - Volvo Penta Engine

Hi!

I was requested to troubleshooting a genset composed of Comap InteliGen-NT controler and Volvo Penta TWD1644GE engine which is not startig, either in auto or manual mode. When I gave a command to start the dysplay just blink followed by "WRN ECU" alarm.
All CAN connections and controller parameters have been checked with no abnormalities.
Have you guys experienced similar issue?

Probably you will need to be more specific. The engine is not turning over at all, or it isn't starting? Sounds like it isn't turning over or attempting to start at all?

Has the ECU been replaced?
Has anything been replaced recently?

This alarm occurs when an ECU is configured, but the communication with the ECU is not established or has dropped out -

Suggest regardless of connections checked and parameters verified, things aren't chatting with each other.

Your battery is dead.

Put your multimeter on it. While the the starter is engaged you'll likely see the battery voltage drop below 9 volts for a 12v system or 18v for a 24 system.

It's frustrating that nobody considers the box full of acid to be the most likely component to have problems in an engine starting system.

However, despite dpc's request, OP has not yet stated precisely what's or what's not happening during starting attempts, viz., is engine not cranking at all?

Is solenoid even engaging starter?

Is it that cranking is sluggish?

Or is cranking healthy but engine just not firing at all?

Or is engine sputtering and firing a bit, but just not catching?

Saying what the error code is, if any, is helpful, but doesn't tell the complete story; it's difficult for anyone to assist you with diagnosing something if only partial or incomplete details are provided.

As has been stated here repeatedly, more information yields better answers.

OP has said everything that needed to be said. The display blinking indicates it is losing power. The "WRN ECU" alarm indicates the can nus link is being interrupted due to loss of power.
