Geometric sets vanashing

Can anyone help I have an issue on R18.

When I switch from one geometric set to another the data in the previous geometric set vanishes, meaning I am having to do all the work in the original set making the tree a mess.

I assume this is something in the settings but having had a hunt through am unable to find anything obvious which would cause this. My only other thought was a graphics card issue, but as it is on an M6400 with an FX3700M card I feel this is probably unlikely.

Hope someone out there will have the answer at their finger tips as it is definitely not at the end of my fingers.

Was unable to work out what the issue was but have deleted the cat settings files and it seems to have sorted it. Am wondering if it was down to some data that has come in from UG, whether maybe that would have brought some funny settings with it.

Not sure what you mean by "vanishes" - is the geometry deleted, or just not displayed?

If it's not displayed, it might be your settings. Go to Tools, Options, Infrastruture, Part Infrastructure and check the Display settings. Turn OFF the two options: ONLY THE CURRENT OPERATED SOLID and ONLY CURRENT BODY

Jackk, Just not displayed, that sounds like it would have been it, will have reset this as when I deleted my settings in docs and settings. Thanks very much for your feedback will try this if it happens again.

are you working with hybrid design option? are you using order geometrical set or just regular geometrical set?

Yes to Hybrid no to Ordered. Reseting the settings sorted it although has of course been a pain reforming all the menus etc.

I suspect it was probably as Jackk suggested, not sure how it could have become switched on by importing Alias data though.
