Anybody out there know of an affordable soil boring log computer drafting prgrams? I have found some online for $600-700, but for me that is too expensive. Or does anyone used Adobe Illustrator. I have heard of companys using Adobe Illustrator to scan in logs and site plan and then draw a computer sketch over the original scanned copy.

Why not use a spread-sheet, such as Excel".

Easy to use, easy to modify and the completed job looks presentable.

HI, Try bluebeam. It is cheap and good.

Try MZ Associates. Give it a google search as i cant remember the address. The programmes called SID and its free. They went out of business and so their software is free to download from their website. Its a bit old but it does a good job. Even has a CAD export.
