Hi to all
Newbe here.
I am starting to learn wildfire 4.0 student edition.
When I start the sketcher palette for the saved sketches I find nothing. How do I get the tabs to show up for the different shapes?
Your help is most wecome.

Set the following option in your config.pro file in your startup directory.

sketcher_palette_path C:\Program Files\ProENGINEER Student Edition\text\sketcher_palette

To set this option within Pro/E Select Tools menu Options and start typing sketcher_palette and you should see it auto complete. Or you can type in palette and hit find to search for the appropriate option.

You can move this location from it's default location so it's easier to locate and customize. Then you can modify the path later.

When Pro/E starts it looks for a config.pro text options file in
C:\Program Files\ProENGINEER Student Edition\text\ and your start in folder location.
This file holds all your preferences for Wildfire and can apply mapkeys to run keyboard shortcuts for commands.
I'd suggest Saving your mapkeys to a separate file and load as needed by opening the file from Tools > Options.

If you use a custom config.pro file just change the Start in: location value in Shortcut Properties [Shortcut] tab of your student edition shortcut icon in the All Programs section of your start menu or your desktop shortcut.

This site is great for helping you learn a new CAD package. I used it extensively when learning UGNX.
