Hello, everyone!
I am modeling nanoindentation in 2D and 3D. My 3D model works fine and gives the right answers base on the experiments (I am modeling two materials one with E=300 Y=7 GPa and the other with E=400 and y= 37). However, the 2D model with the same mesh size, element, and partitions, but modeled in axisymmetric, gives me a higher maximum load in the load-displacement diagram for the "second material". Would you please help me with the problem?
Thank you so much in advance.
