I wonder if the 220 kV or 400 kV GIS is shipped with SF6 filled in or just like Transformers? I heard before that some parts are pre-filled and others are filled at site.

I was thinking about the gas leakage that may occur during transportation and shipping but on other hand a huge amount of gas cylinders will be required at site for big GIS.

any clue?

My state has transportation rules that prevent transport of any high pressure vessels besides certified gas cylinders, so we have to reduce the pressure in SF6 circuit breakers to about 10% of normal pressure for transport.
