Hi,

I am wondering if the above material is suitable to be used for marine application.
The plug will be fitted to the light, sitting in ocean or near ocean.

The plug would not experience much of stress as being fitted to the light. However, this plug is rated IP68 and if it is exposed to sun and salt water, would it be degraded?

Please advise.

Regards,
Minki

Polyamide is subject to water absorption and this changes the dimensions of the component, possibly putting stress on the housing it's installed in. Polyamide also experiences UV degredation. UV stabilized Acetal would be a better starting point.
