This thread ( got me thinking about a website I visited recently, It's a site that supposedly allows you to comment anonomously about your job, sallery, company, boss, etc.. No one from my company has any listings. I didn't want to be the first to try it. So, has anyone else tried it?

The site may be frowned upon by your company. I suggest visiting it form the comfort of you home.

Even from home, you need to watch what you post about a company. About 7 years ago, there was a similar website, Vault.com, that was successfully sued to find out who posted some damaging information about a defense company. Nothing is really anonymous.

While headhunters are usually a pain, they are a great resource for finding out how you are doing. Want to know what others will pay, give a HH a call.
As for boss, company etc., in my niche the number of companies is quite small, so really, it's easy to know who not to work for.

I have looked at the site but have not really dug through it much nor have I cared to post anything to it. I agree with DonPE about anonymity issues. A user account is anonymous only until a subpoena arrives. Anonymity from an Internet access standpoint is best achieved at a public node provided you have suitable intrusion security on your system.

The other thing to consider would be the type of individual likely to post on or contribute to such a site (Happy or Disgruntled) and the impact that would/could have on data quality. I would not use the site (or any site) as a sole source of insight about a company.

I waded through their painful process to send in my salary.

Predictably enough it did not appear.

Scammers.
