Is there any way to change the mass property settings for the whole program so that, for example, a new value for density will cascade through every single solidworks model file? I ask this question in an attempt to avoid the process of opening up every individual file and changing the density in the "mass properties" listed under "tools".

I have a program that can change the density of every part in an assembly, if that helps.

If you are interested, contact me via the email address listed in my profile.

Actually I just realized that an answer to my original question will not work. Thanks for the offer.

With SW2003, assigning a material overrides the density under "tools" "mass properties". If you define a new material with the new density and make a macro that assigns it it will be less button pushes than digging down to "mass props", but you still will have to open each file.
