Globe Valve Trim

I'm trying to select temperature control valves to meet a mechanical engineer's Division 15 spec. He has specified globe valves with cage type trim. I've never seen this in a spec before. What is the advantage in a commercial temperature control application? Who makes a globe valve with cage type trim?
