Glulam stub cantilever off masonry

The architect we are working for wants to have a 2-6" +/- glulam that cantilevers off of the end of a masonry wall supporting a roof for a pool building. The rest of the roof is glulams cantilevering on each end, spaced about 8' O.C. we have about 26 psf DL and 35 psf SL.

My main issue is how to detail this connection to preclude the possibility of splitting. Has anyone done something like this before?

So. if I read you correctly, this is a beam parallel to and in line with the centerline of the end CMU wall, intended to mimic the other glulams in size - probably in the order of a 6.75 X 24 to 30?

This I have not done before, but I would use a Kerf mount with a small inset bearing plate to the wall end and a strap on top of the beam back to the wood nailer on top of the CMU wall - plywood diaphragm assumed. The force created should support the beam without splitting it.

Use 3/16" stock and glulam rivets for fastening to the glulam... and heavier stuff to anchor to the wall.
