All,
My textbook "Power Electronics: Converters, Applications and Design" by Mohan/Undeland/Robbins has served me well for over 20 years. I've used it for DC drives, LCIs and through to PWMs. It does have fairly good coverage of an AFE's use to interface to a grid. The DC bus voltage of Vd is said to need to be greater than 1.634 * Vll of the AC source for a 3-phase AFE attempting to regulate PF to unity.
However, there must be limits to how much higher the DC bus voltage can go than the line-to-line AC voltage coming into it? In regards to a DC microgrid, I assume I can't just run a 208VAC gen-set and expect an AFE to properly interface it with a 1000VDC bus?
Does anyone know of any manufacturer's pdfs that do a really good job on this? I'd prefer to buy a text book that goes into greater detail then that or the above. However, I am not sure for example that either of these are any good:
Thanks in advance for any and all help!!
