I am looking for recommendations to upgrade my concrete text book to go with recent code updates and new design procedures. Are there any particular books that I should look to first?

Preferably, it would reflect the latest ACI code.

I like "Notes on ACI 318-02 Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete" by PCA. It has lots of examples with emphasis on revisions from earlier codes and areas where they sense some confusion on code interpretation.

MacGregor writes a good concrete text. Don't know if he has an addition for ACI 318-02 yet. He is a Canadian, eh, so you know it will be a good book. :)

Go Canada!!

I have both MacGregor and McCormac books. I like practical books like McCormac. It is not as thorough, but seems to be written with the student or practicing engineer in mind.
