Thanks
I am very confident that I will pass the exam as long as they ask the right questions.

Good luck to the others!!!

Good luck everyone! I'm taking it as well! (Structural I)

I logged about 150 hours of studying the last couple of months, hopefully it will pay off.

Good luck to everyone as well. I'm taking the Structural I on Friday, too.

Steellion- do you feel the 150 was overkill, about right, or not enough? I put in about 20. I'm feeling very confident, so I hope I'm not deluding myself.

See you guys in the Pub at 5 on Friday.

Just do your best...

If we see you in the Pub at 5:00 on Friday that means you're not drinking enough beer or harder stuff...you should have sobered up by 10:00 pm or so, which means if you don't let us know something we'll hunt you down and.....

Good luck!!

SEIT....get a new handle ready!!

Does everyone taking the SE I get the same exam?

What dis the test takers today think of it? I thought it was surprisingly easy, especially the afternoon.

I was talking to a co-worker and she said there were a lots of AASHTO problems in the morning. Like you, she said the afternoon was a lot easier.

SEIT...why am I not surprised! What will your new handle be?

Slick-
there were quite a few AASHTO problems in the morning, but they were pretty simple. I spent less than 1 hour total looking at AASHTO, but managed my way through the problems with help from the index. My approach was not to look at any of the answers until I had an answer of my own.

Ron-
I'm not sure on the new handle yet. StructuralPE is already taken. I thought about StructuralSE, but that's probably not right given that I'll only have the SE I.

I am 99% sure of 34 correct in the morning, and I think I got 36 correct. In the afternoon, I'm 99% sure of like 36 correct and I feel pretty confident on 3 of the other 4. There was a fair number of AASHTO questions that were analysis in nature, so that made the bridges a little easier to deal with, too. I was getting worried a little when a lot of my answers were matching exactly with one of the choices - right down to decimal places (though not all were that precise).

Ah, drinks on the house tonight.

First thought - Man, I'm glad that's over.
Second thought - Were those factored loads or service loads for problem 3?
Third thought - I need a beer.
Fourth thought (next morning) - HOW LONG do I have to WAIT to find out the RESULTS?

Best to all.

SEIT,
Use something less formal, e.g. "Ron". Seems to have served him well.
